Try Sri Ganesh Cash & Carry in Ealing (you can google the address), or the shops on East Ham High Street.Shammihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07905000396589717457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12940096.post-17464923720035955692010-05-19T16:29:14.095+01:002010-05-19T16:29:14.095+01:00I love avial the traditional way but I've had ...I love avial the traditional way but I've had it with tamarind too and was nice. Should try sometime. But I normally do not have all the right vegetables (esp plantain). I probably might have made it just three or four times in my entire life. same goes for mohrkulambu, though it doesn't need so many veggies.Premalathahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02741047367535557036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12940096.post-40539019661247309152010-05-18T00:00:33.841+01:002010-05-18T00:00:33.841+01:00Aviyal, yummy. I switch between the two types but I prefer the yogurt based one:-). Aha aha aha! I didn't know it was a Tirunelveli tradition to use tamarind! NOW it makes sense, although I should've known this since my family comes from the Tirunelveli area. Avial with Tamarind sounds great and looks yummy too, must try.<br />I think Curds refers to thick Yogurt and Buttermilk is thinner when we add a bit of water to thin.
